Sound, The Creative Principle
Sound, the Creative Principle is a new and transformative course that empowers participants to unlock their innate musicality and creativity through the practice of spontaneous sound-making (on piano, drums, flute, vocals, or other instruments). Each module focuses on a unique theme, infused with the four Vias, supporting us in breaking free from old beliefs, shifting old patterns, and engaging with the life we’re most called to. Through a series of foundational practices and reflections, we will nurture a deep sense of awareness, cultivate resilience and resourcefulness amid uncertainty, unleash creative potential, and embrace our capacity for personal and social transformation.
Join Daniel Barber for a four week walk with the creative power of sound.
Details:
Dates: Oct 24, Nov 7, Nov 14, Nov 21 (NOTE: NO SESSION ON OCT 31ST)
Cost: $75
All sessions will be recorded and made available to paying students.
First Sundays 'extra' Discussion Session
The CSC First Sundays teams 'extra' session for October to address concerns over the pre-election, fragile state of our country and world in general. The suggestion was to bring a short quote from Brian McLaren's book, Life After Doom, or Matt Fox's Trump & the MAGA Movement as Anti-Christ: A Handbook for the 2024 Election, or any quote that would evoke some honest sharing and encouragement. The session is planned to be one hour, at the same time as First Sundays.
Possible breakout rooms.
Join us at 7 pm ET.
Time: Oct 20, 2024 07:00 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada)
